To become a security guard, the requirements can vary from state to state. However, most states require you to be at least 18 years of age and have a high school degree or GED. You also must not have any felony convictions dealing with improper use of weapons. Aside from these requirements, your application will be helped if you have a driver’s license, are physically fit, can communicate well, and can stand on your feet for long periods of time.

You will find out that security guard training can be specific to the type of position they you are looking to work in.
